The Lister Canvas Shoes are a new style from Stepney Workers Club for autumn/winter ‘19 and reworks the brands signature silhouette with a simplistic slip-on design. The deconstructed uppers are made from durable 100% cotton canvas drill and contrasting white mesh side gussets allow for stretch and ease of entry. Top stitching emphasises key features of the design including the tongue, heel and ankle border, whilst the brands simple handshake emblem has been printed with a black outline on top of a wrap over label on the edge of the tongue. Throughout the inside a fabric lining has been added for comfort and the chunky midsole has been added using vulcanised construction methods with high-wall foxing tape and a concealed siped tread which improves grip.
A versatile, reliable sneaker, East London based Stepney Workers Club has used their staple Dallas silhouette as a base for the newly introduced Lister Canvas Shoe for the season. Reflecting their approach to design which is to create simple, timeless and genreless unisex models, a mix of traditional and bygone methods are used within the construction of each style.
